This morning, as I “cracked” the lid to my first My Fit Foods small “Good Morning Sunshine” breakfast, I smelled the distinct aroma of red onions, cheddar cheese and cilantro mixed with ground turkey, waft from within. For some reason, I was reminded of chili as I anticipated what these aromas would taste like after it was heated! After the recommended 1:30-2:00 minutes of microwave heat, the aroma filled the oven and billowed out from the hot container (use a paper towel!). Once I got to my desk and began to eat, I was first impressed with the light and fluffy texture of my breakfast and noticed a slight but palatable spiciness from both the jalepeno and cilantra (I normally refrain from jalepenos). As I ate my breakfast, the other ingredients (tomato, egg white and yolk, parboiled brown rice, butter, and lime juice) became apparent. During my meal, because of the rarity of jalepenos in my diet, I did experience a little moisteness on my brow and a slight spiciness on my tongue, but it was paleteable nonetheless. Overall, both a GREAT breakfast for the single man “on the run”! Now, what to wash this down with: water or O. J.?
