After 8 (+/-) weeks of it’s opening, Frisco’s newest addition of California’s famed In-N-Out STILL has a 20 car count in their drive-thru and a miraculously 5-7 minute wait in line!
Ordering: In-N-Out’s menu is VERY simple — you can order either the individual burgers themselves OR one of 3 meals (I ordered the #1, which is the “Double-Double” burger meal with the French fries and beverage). The associate, Leilai, was very professional and asked if I wanted onions on my burger. I waited in line behind about 10-15 people for about 5-7 minutes to place an order for dining in (yeah, I should’ve ordered to go!). Outside, there were In-N-Out staffers taking orders from the cars waiting in the LINES(!). In-N-Out had constructed their location with only ONE drive-thru line, yet they had to barricade it closed and had temporary cones circling the drive-thru line AROUND the building. I have NO idea how long it took for them to receive their orders. Grade: 5
Order: Fortunately for me, a good friend with whom I had just had coffee made the strong suggestion that I order the “Double-Double” burger meal (Hint: the meat patties are about 1/4” thick each, so the Double-Double is a MUST!). And, the French fries … VERY nondescript and a waste of a good potato! VERY IMPORTANT: The burgers are double-wrapped in paper: the interior paper wrap is brown and when soaked with the grease of the burger, becomes indistinguishable from the burger! I found on a few occasions that I had bitten off some of it. I suggest that you remove the interior wrapping before consumption!
Grade: 3
Seating: Unfortunately, the indoor and outdoor seating was VERY lacking — it seems that the Frisco store underestimated and possibly either used the California model or an existing building! I guess that they either didn’t realize the demand or forgot that we do things BIG in Texas! In inside seating was full to capacity and the eight outside tables were full as well, with room for an additional 4-6 more. Grade: 1
Conclusion: So, after waiting for about 8 (+/-) weeks before making the opportunity to eat what many claim is a hamburger worth waiting in lines for, I must confess that the burger itself was good. However, eating outside sitting on the stone wall in the 98 deg. F direct sunlight, the ONLY thing which made the experience less miserable was that, on my drive through the parking lots to get to In-N-Out, I discovered that NEW Frisco location of My Fit Foods which is OPEN!
